Welcome to the 4th Annual
Houston Halloween Film Festival!

The HHFF is a grassroots short film festival and costume party.

Like Dr. Frankenstein said... IT'S ALIVE! IT'S ALIVE!... and HHFF is where your creations live & breathe!

HHFF is the Mad Lab where incredible original films created by local filmmakers come alive in the midst of a one-of-a-kind grass roots halloween film party. We are the festival created by filmmakers for filmmakers to inspire, create and elevate awareness & opportunity for local film artists and the Houston film community at large.

JOIN US AND TOGETHER WE CAN RULE THE GALAXY AS... Anyway, putting on an all volunteer film festival of this kind requires tremendous effort & support. Sponsorships, venue, advertising, web design, and countless other logistical challenges keep the HHFF team very busy. But given our past successes... seeing wonderfully original, locally made independent films presented to a packed house of wildly applauding, (& strangely dressed) film fanatics has always proven to be well worth the effort. Unlike other festivals, this one truly belongs to those who choose to be a part of it.

So jump in -- sponsor, make a movie (or help someone make a movie), volunteer or at the very least, grab your costume and attend something truly different and very, very special... the coolest, grass roots film festival in Halloween history.

A Different Kind of Festival
HHFF belongs to the filmmaker. We are your festival. We originally created this festival to give us, the festival organizers (film nuts who work in the industry), an excuse to make a film ourselves. Unlike other festivals (who mainly just collect your entry fee) HHFF screens all entries as long as they do not violate HHFF Rules & Guidelines. Our setup is unique too! We show films in "blocks" with time to party and mingle between showings giving filmmakers a chance to meet and mingle with other filmmakers & industry pros.

Viewer’s Choice Award
Everyone will again be gunning for the Viewer’s Choice Award, so bring your masterpieces.

Best of Series
We will be showing a block of the best films of past festivals. Very cool.

Southern Backtones
This year's festival will feature Houston's own Southern Backtones live in concert!

Sponsorships
If you would like to sponsor, please know we need you. Sponsorships are very affordable and your contribution will not only support this years festival but ensure we will be able to grow in the future. Sponsors will enjoy many benefits including exposure on all festival promotions & web site! Download a sponsorship form here. Contact Richard Lacy at hhff@mac.com or liteshaper@earthlink.net if you have any questions.

The 2007 HHFF will benefit the Texas Motion Picture Alliance. Your attendance and contributions will not only support the efforts of local independent film but will also raise awareness for the need to bring production and production incentives to Texas. Visit the Texas Motion Picture Alliance website at http://www.txmpa.org/
